Program Information:
“Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?,” Edward Albee’s Tony Award-winning 1962 play, is set in a small New England college town at the home of a fiercely embattled married couple: college professor George and his wife, Martha, the college president’s daughter. After returning from a faculty party at 2 a.m., the couple welcomes a younger professor, Nick, and his wife, Honey, into their home for an extended session of “fun and games.” As everyone continues drinking, the older couple engages in scathing verbal and sometimes physical abuse. The younger couple, both embarrassed and fascinated, stays until dawn even though the abuse periodically turns toward them as well. The Wayward Actors production is directed by Mike Seely and features Roger Fristoe as George, Susan McNeese Lynch as Martha, Dan Canon as Nick and Susan Crocker as Honey.
