Presenter: Center for Interfaith Relations Pricing: $15.00 Program Information: Moved by their concern for our planet, thirteen indigenous grandmothers from all four corners of the globe came together at a historic gathering in 2004, where they formed The International Council of Thirteen Indigenous Grandmothers. Four years in-the-making, this documentary was shot in the Amazon rainforest, the mountains of Mexico, North America, and at a private meeting with the Dalai Lama in India. For the Next 7 Generations is narrated by Kentuckian Ashley Judd and follows what happens when these wise women unite. Facing a world in crisis, they share their visions of healing and a call for change now, before it is too late. The film will be followed by a discussion with six of the Grandmothers and Producer and Director Carole Hart. Autographed copies of the 13 Grandmothers book, Grandmothers Counsel the World will be available for purchase. This event is part of the 14th Annual Festival of Faiths Sacred Water: Sustaining Life November 4 -13, 2009. A program of the Center for Interfaith Relations.
