World Premiere by Amy Seiwert Cold Virtues Choreography by Adam Hougland/Music by Philip Glass Three Reflections offers dance lovers the long-awaited revival of Adam Hougland’s first commission for the Louisville Ballet. Hougland’s Cold Virtues creates intriguing perspectives of love, lust, relationships and their interconnectedness. The Courier-Journal called Cold Virtues, “beautifully bleak, honest in unflinching fashion…Cold Virtues is indeed an icy bit of sly observation.” [October 2003] Celts Choreography by Lila York/Musical complication featuring The Chieftains, Bill Whelan, William Ruhle, Celtic Thunder, and Dan Ar Braz Named on of Dance Magazine’s 25 to Watch in 2005, Amy Seiwert’s work is classically based yet has a contemporary voice. In addition to her commissions for Smuin Ballet, where she serves as Choreographer in Residence, she has also created ballets for Colorado Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet, Ballet Austic and her own company, im’ij-re. This world premiere marks Seiwert’e debut with the Louisville Ballet. Celt is a high-energy feast for the senses filled with Irish music and nods to traditional Irish dance.
