The mission of The Kentucky Center for the Performing Arts is to provide
artistically diverse performances of the highest quality. The Center serves
Kentucky through education and initiatives which expand and diversify audiences
while enhancing their understanding, appreciation, and support for the arts. The
Center strives to challenge, stimulate, and entertain while operating in a
fiscally responsible manner and acting as an economic and cultural catalyst for
the Commonwealth.
The Kentucky Center is not a member of The Fund for the Arts, and relies on

Each year, your membership helps us bring a unique diversity of artistic performances to your arts center - The Kentucky Center. We’re counting on you, to keep our stages filled with musicians, dancers, actors and authors who make a difference in the lives of all those who come to witness the wonders of their talent.
The Kentucky Center Presents series offers entertainment options for all
ages, including:
Part of our mission is to serve children through statewide arts education programs. Our many educational programs, including the Governor’s School for the Arts,
remain unmatched by any other performing arts center of comparable size in the
nation. More than 100,000 youth are served annually through our education
programs.
Our Accessibility Services ensure
that everyone can experience the wonders of the performing arts without barriers
or restrictions. Audio Description provides live descriptions for the visually
impaired, while Captioned Theater offers the deaf and hard of hearing a way to
enjoy performances. Assistive Listening provides infrared hearing devices for
the hearing impaired.
